Bray Cruiser Club is based on the River Thames at Bray, midway between Maidenhead and Windsor. With a membership of around 50 boats, the club is small enough to be friendly, but large enough to offer a very full boating and social calendar. Many members have children and we are well known as a family club.

Our boating season typically starts with a ‘fitting out’ cruise on the river in early spring and ends with a ‘laying up' cruise in late autumn. These are leisurely affairs to such venues as Henley, Marlow and Sonning, often including a Saturday night dinner at a restaurant near the cruise destination. Other river events include summer barbecues, a boat handling competition and a Family Fun Day around the river at Windsor. We are also affiliated to the Association of Thames Yacht Clubs (ATYC) and support both the annual ATYC Dinner Dance and the annual ATYC Rally.

If you wish to be more adventurous you can join one of our regular tidal cruises-in-company. Destinations include Limehouse or St Katherine's Yacht Haven (to watch the London Marathon), and a week-long spring cruise to Rochester on the River Medway. This is an excellent opportunity to make your first sea trip in company and is timed to coincide with school half term, making it a very good ‘family cruise’ too.

During the summer, there are often additional cruises on offer as members organise summer holiday cruises, either up river to places like Abingdon or Dorchester, or out of the Thames to places like the East Coast, The Solent, Belgium, Holland or France.

A full winter social programme of clubhouse and restaurant events helps to keep everyone in touch during the non-boating season.
